* At 345 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to one to two inches of
rain has already fallen in portions of the warning area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Paxton, Dwight, Gibson City, Piper
City, Wilmington, Braidwood, Coal City, Diamond, Elwood, Gilman,
Herscher, Gardner, Onarga, Forrest, Chatsworth, Mazon and Cissna
Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, urban areas, highways,
streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low
lying spots.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
