The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving numerous calls regarding an active fraud scam occurring in the county.
The caller identifies himself as a deputy from our office with the "Warrants and Citations Division" and claims there is an active warrant or fines are owed. On some calls, the caller claims fines are owed for failure to appear for jury duty.
The caller sometimes identifies himself as "Deputy Bowen" and calls from 208-223-0200.
Please do not give out personal information or send any form of money to any caller without verifying their identity by contacting Dispatch at 208-265-5525.
