5/27 Storm Update: Monroe & Area Road Closures as of 5:30pm 
The National Weather Service has reported that approximately 6" of rain fell in this area today. This has caused most rivers, creeks and tributaries to quickly rise and some have flooded their banks. A NWS Flood Warning remains in effect until 6:15pm.
Some local roads have been impacted by this storm...
ROAD CLOSURES:
ROUTE 33 from Applegarth to Perrineville (follow detour)
TEXAS ROAD at the Old Bridge municipal border (find alternate route)
ENGLISHTOWN ROAD between Union Hill and Connor Road in Manalapan
UNION HILL ROAD at the bridge and the Englishtown border.
WATER ON ROADWAY, STILL PASSABLE, DRIVE WITH CAUTION:
Perrineville Road and Federal Road
MTPD, OEM AND DPW continue to monitor roads and tributaries through the night.
