Gilman Street between Second and Fourth Streets will be closed to through traffic beginning on May 25, 2018, at 9:00pm through May 29, 2018 at 3:00pm.  Union Pacific Railroad maintenance crews will have the railroad crossing on Gilman Street closed in order to make repairs to the tracks.  This weekend was chosen for the repair work in hopes that it would minimize the impact on local traffic. 
 
During maintenance activities, community members will hear the passing trains sounding additional horns.  This is required by law during construction activities. The engineers are also required to use the horn at night and early morning if there is maintenance activity along the tracks. Additionally, community members may also hear the backup beepers that are on maintenance equipment and vehicles.  Union Pacific has asked us to pass along their apologies for any disruption the noise causes.
