Police Blotter May 18th through the 21st

May 18th:

Theft - 900 block of Pomona Ave:
At 0908 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft that occurred several days prior. The victim was selling a camera on “Offer Up” and arranged to meet the suspect in the 900 block of Pomona Ave. When they met, the suspect looked at the camera, grabbed it, and then took off running.

Fare Evasion and Resisting Arrest: 6400 Cutting Blvd:
At 1417 hours, officers contacted two subjects for fare evading at the Del Norte BART station. One subject, a 21-year-old Antioch male refused to provide his name. Since the officer couldn’t issue a citation without his name, he was arrested. Another subject, a 25-year-old Vallejo man refused to comply with orders of officers and was subsequently arrested. Both were identified, booked, and released on a citation.

Robbery & Methamphetamine Possession - 10944 San Pablo Ave:
At 1455 hours, officers responded to the report of a fight. The victim noticed a 34-year-old San Pablo man loading an item of the victim’s property into his vehicle. The victim confronted the subject who threatened and shoved him which resulted in a fight. The suspect was injured during the fight and was unable to flee. The suspect was transported to the hospital, medically cleared, and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. He was also found in possession of methamphetamine and stolen prescription drugs.

Theft, 4010 EC Plaza:
At 1255 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft. In between 1000 hours and 2025 hours, an unidentified suspect cut a Samsung watch off the display and fled.

Grand Theft, 3500 block of Carlson Blvd.
At 1533 hours, an unidentified suspect stole the wheel and tires from an early 80’s model Cadillac El Dorado (Total loss: $5K.)

Shoplifting – (Luckys) 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2005 hours, an officer responded to a report of a shoplifting and contacted a 28-year-old San Ramon man nearby. The man was positively identified and the property was recovered from the man. The man was arrested and later released with a citation.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Kearney Street / Key Boulevard:
At 2152 hours, an officer located the victim’s stolen 1990 Honda Civic which had been reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department. The owner was contacted and met with the officer where he was able to drive his vehicle home.

May 19th:

Auto Burglary – Peets Coffee 9895 San Pablo Ave:
At 0621 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 0615 hours and 0620 hours, an unidentified suspect broke the window of a parked vehicle and stole property.

Armed Robbery, 1200 Cabrillo St:
At 1433 hours, an officer responded to the report of an armed robbery that just occurred. The victim was walking his dog when he was confronted by four suspects, all approx. 20-25 years old, and one was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspects took the victim’s iPhone and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Shoplifter – Luckys, 1000 EC Plaza:
At 1459 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 24-year-old Oakland man after seeing him running from Luckys and dropping property. The subject fled on foot towards the BART station and then gave up. He was arrested and released in the field with a citation.

Trespasser – Taco Bell, 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 1620 hours, an officer was conducting a security check at the old Taco Bell site when he noticed a 56-year-old subject inside the property. The subject was arrested, booked, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Drunk in Public – Blake Street / San Pablo Avenue:
At 1920 hours, officers contacted a 33-year-old El Cerrito resident who was heavily intoxicated and unable to properly care for himself. The man was also prohibited from consuming alcohol due to a clause in his probation. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen License Plate – 600 block of Albemarle Street:
At 2016 hours, the victim reported the front license plate was stolen from her 2006 Honda Pilot sometime between May 18th and May 19th.

Warrant Arrest, Resisting Arrest – San Pablo Avenue / Wall Avenue:
At 0011 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 26-year-old Richmond resident who was riding a bicycle in the roadway without a light. The man refused to stop and a short chase ensued before the man was taken into custody. The man was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

May 20th:

Warrant Arrest - S. 56th St. /Madison Ave.:
At 1327 hours. An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 35-year-old Richmond man on a misdemeanor warrant. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD and then released with a citation.

Shoplifting - CVS, 10650 San Pablo Ave:
At 1604 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting that just occurred. The suspect stole baby formula and fled the scene.

Burglary (Residential) – 5700 block of El Dorado Street:
At 1758 hours, officers responded to a call of several juveniles in the area looking into vehicles and walking in and out of yards. Officers arrived and located several juveniles who dropped a computer and ran away. Two juvenile males were detained and the computer was collected but no crime could be determined. Several hours later, an officer located the victim who found that their home had been burglarized.

Shoplifting - Ross, 2000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1811 hours, an officer reports that a male selected $60 worth of shoes from the store and left without paying.

May 21:

Shoplifting / Warrant – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave.:
At 1048 hours, an officer arrested a 32-year-old San Francisco man for shoplifting. He also had a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, booked, and released on a citation.

Shoplifting / Warrant – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave.:
At 1340 hours, an officer responded to a shoplifting that just occurred. The suspect, a 42-year-old Richmond woman was found to also have a robbery warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – BART path / Hill Street:
At 2217 hours, an officer arrested a 50-year-old Rodeo man for an El Cerrito PD warrant. The man was issued a citation with a new court date and released with a signed promise to appear.

Felony Vandalism – Carlson Boulevard / El Dorado Street:
At 0224 hours, a victim reported that his vehicle was struck by an unknown object. When the victim got out of his vehicle to inspect the damage, he was confronted by a 50-year-old Pittsburg man. During the interaction, the suspect kicked the victim's car and threatened to shoot him. The man was located nearby by officers and positively identified by the victim. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
