DETAILS:
At 0800 Hours on this date, Patrol and Traffic Units were detailed to CR #571 between McGetrick Lane/Glenngarry Way on a report of a Serious Motor Vehicle Collision. The following was determined: a 2006 Toyota Scion had been traveling westbound on CR #571 and was approaching a curved section of roadway just past the Southfield Center. The operator, an 18 year old female, was traveling alone. The vehicle, due to traveling at an unsafe speed, spun out of control clockwise and in a northerly direction. The Toyota continued out of control, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The force of the impact split the car into (2) pieces. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The weather was overcast, however; the roads were wet at the time of the collision.
The One Vehicle Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash is still under investigation by Ptl. Brown of WWPD’s Traffic Bureau and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team.
