Vehicle Drives Off Meighan Bridge in Gadsden 
At 2:07 pm, Sunday, May 20th, a 9-1-1 call was received stating a vehicle had gone off the side of the Meighan Bridge in Gadsden. Search and recovery efforts are underway at this time. Due to the possible location of the vehicle, recovery efforts could be prolonged. At this time, the type of vehicle or number of occupants is unknown due to conflicting statements given by witnesses.
Agencies involved currently include: ALEA Marine Division, Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden Fire Department and Gadsden Police Department.
