On 5-16-18, Officers respond to a call on the 400 block of E. Phillips Blvd. regarding a carjacking. Officers arrived on scene and located a victim whose keys and wallet were taken by suspects after being struck from behind. Suspects immediately fled the scene in the victim's vehicle. During the investigation, Officers learned the victim's stolen vehicle was equipped with OnStar. OnStar was able to locate the stolen vehicle in the city of San Bernardino. San Bernardino PD assisted the Pomona Police Department and located the victim's vehicle on the 400 block of E. 3rd Street in the city of San Bernardino. San Bernardino PD Officers observed suspects removing contents from the victim's vehicle into a different vehicle. All suspects were detained by San Bernardino PD Officers until Pomona Police Officers arrived on scene.
Pomona Police Officers arrested TORRES and JUAREZ for 215 PC - Carjacking and San Bernardino Police Dept. arrested LOPEZ for 496 PC - Possession of Stolen Property.
