Deputies serve a search warrant and arrest a suspect for having a firearm within reach of a child

LOCATION: 22800 block of Grand Terrace Rd, Grand Terrace
SUSPECT(S): Jonathan Arizaga, age 34 a resident of Grand Terrace
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On May 17, 2018, Deputy P. Casas, from the Sheriff's Central Station, investigated the theft of city equipment in Grand Terrace. Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Jonathan Arizaga. Deputies determined the equipment had been stolen from a maintenance truck belonging to the city of Grand Terrace. Deputies and detectives served a search warrant at Arizaga's residence and located the stolen property in the backyard. During the service of the search warrant, deputies also located a loaded firearm that was found to be within reach of a child.
Jonathan Arizaga was arrested, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of stolen property and having a loaded firearm within reach of a child.
