Drowning in San Andreas
(San Andreas, CA) On May 16, 2018, a 3-year-old male wandered away from his residence on Pine Street in San Andreas. The Calaveras Sheriff Emergency Dispatch Center was notified at approximately 6:20 PM, at which time a full response from Sheriff’s patrol deputies, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel, officers from the California Highway Patrol, fire and medic units, and citizen volunteers was initiated. At approximately 6:37 PM on the same date the juvenile male was located unresponsive in a swimming pool at a neighbor’s residence on Market Street. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Calaveras Sheriff Detectives responded to investigate the incident. There is no further information at this time.
