WEATHER ALERT - STRONG THUNDERSTORMS 5PM to 8PM. Strong wind gust of 40 - 60mph possible.
* LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS EARLY EVENING *
THREAT TIME: TUESDAY 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The remainder of today will be hot, humid and dry until a line of potentially severe storms approaches late in the day. The threat window is between 5PM - 8 PM, with the main threat being strong wind gusts of 40 - 60 mph, and an isolated risk for small hail and a only a minimal risk for a tornado. The risk for strong wind gusts with this line is somewhat higher than a typical severe weather threat for the area.
Storms will also produce downpours, so localized poor drainage / road flooding is also a concern during the later half of the PM rush hour... Cooler weather follows tonight into Wednesday, with a few lingering showers. These will mainly be light and intermittent, so less sensitive work can likely still be done tomorrow.
