PRESS INFORMATION

INCIDENT:  2018-8721  Identity Theft, Hindering Apprehension, Exhibiting False ID to Police, Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, & Fugitive.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  4/04/18  at  7:59 PM

LOCATION OCCURRED:  AT&T Store, 3716 US Route 1

WHO: (ARRESTED, INJURED, DRIVER, VICTIM, OTHER)
Arrested:  Scardy Dominique, Black male, 35 years old
                 Resident of Ewing, NJ 08618

OFFICER: Ptl. T. Hojnacki #590

DETAILS: Patrol units were detailed to the AT&T Store for male attempting to use fake identification to open an account and obtain three iPhone X cell phones valued at $3,500. When police arrived on scene, Scardy Dominique gave Ptl. Hojnacki a fraudulent NY driver’s license identifying himself as someone other than himself along with a Visa credit card bearing that same name. The number on the NY driver’s license was not valid, so Dominique was asked for additional forms of identification. He asked his companion to retrieve it from his blue Chrysler minivan. While his companion attempted to find his ID, officers detected the strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a clear plastic bag containing under 50 grams of marijuana along with a glass pipe with marijuana residue. Dominique remained steadfast that he was someone else until a check of his fingerprints revealed his true identity. Dominique was also found to be a “Wanted Person” by both the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and the Bucks County (PA) Sheriff’s Department. After processing at WWPD Headquarters, he was transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.
