The National Weather Service in Mount Holly reports that thunderstorms will develop to the north and west and spread
southeastward into the area later this afternoon and tonight. Some of
these storms may be severe, with strong winds, large hail and flash
flooding the primary risks.
Please take the time to secure any objects (patio furniture, garbage cans and lids, etc.) that can be carried off by strong winds.
Be mindful that heavy, wind-driven rains will reduce visibility, making driving hazardous.
Remember: It is NEVER safe to walk or drive into flood waters.
Residents are urged to monitor weather reports for updates and/or changes to the forecast.
