Aggravated Domestic Battery

5/07 – 1:22 a.m. – Police responded to a domestic battery call, on Rhineland Place. When the officer arrived, he had found the male suspect had already left the scene. He met with the female victim, who had multiple injuries. Millstadt EMS was summoned to the scene, and they transported the victim to a hospital for treatment. The suspect surrendered himself at the police department later that day and was taken into custody. On May 9th the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the defendant, Craig C. Gulash age 34 of Millstadt. According to the charging documents he was charged with the following:

Count 1: Aggravated Domestic Battery; In that the said defendant, in committing a domestic battery, knowingly caused great bodily harm to the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that the said defendant struck her about her body and threw her body, causing a fracture to the victim’s elbow. – A Class 2 Criminal Felony.

Count 2: Aggravated Domestic Battery; In that the said defendant, in committing a domestic battery, knowingly caused great bodily harm to the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that the said defendant struck her about her body and threw her body, causing a fracture to the victim’s finger. – A Class 2 Criminal Felony.

Count 3: Domestic Battery; In that the said defendant, committed the offense of domestic battery, in that he knowingly caused bodily harm to the victim, a family/household member of the defendant, in that he struck her about her body and threw her body, causing a laceration to the victim’s head. – A Class A Misdemeanor.

His bond was set at $50,000.
