PRESS RELEASE: Seeking Public's Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect; UPDATE 5/11/18 - VIDEO NOW AVAILABLE

On May 10, 2018, at approximately 1:15pm, Manhattan Beach Police Department received a report of a robbery which had just occurred in the 600 block of 15th Street in Manhattan Beach. The adult female victim had her purse snatched from her, and in the struggle was knocked to the ground. The victim suffered unknown injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  No weapons were observed.
 
The suspect was described as a male White or Hispanic wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.  The suspect was seen fleeing in a sedan, possibly a silver or gray four-door BMW with heavily tinted windows (see attached photograph).  The vehicle was last seen heading towards 15th Street and Laurel Avenue.
  
The police department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect and suspect vehicle.  Anyone who saw something or has surveillance cameras in the area of 15th Street between Laurel Avenue and Pacific Avenue, and on Pacific Avenue between Marine Avenue and Manhattan Beach Boulevard, is asked to call the Manhattan Beach Police Department Tip Line at (310) 802-5171.
