Report of Male Subject at the Soutwest Campus Loitering in Women's Restroom with a Recording Device

During the evening of May 8th, 2018, SRJC District Police were alerted to an incident at the SRJC Southwest Campus at 950 South Wright Road. Female students notified police dispatch that a male subject was loitering in the female restroom and was using a cellular phone to photograph or record females from adjacent toilet stalls. Two female victims each reported separate incidents which occurred between 7:45 pm and 7:55 pm. It was reported that the male subject held the cell phone underneath the stall door from the adjacent stall to either photograph or video her. A second victim reported a similar incident from the same restroom but the male subject held the cellular phone from above the adjacent stall.

District Police Officers responded to the area within minutes and did a thorough check of the area but did not locate the subject. The subject has been described as a white male adult, approximately 20-30 years of age, approximately 5`6” in height with either gray hair or a bald head. The subject was reported as wearing a black and white striped t-shirt and was barefoot. He was last seen walking away from the campus, in a southern direction.

The investigation is ongoing and the District Police are asking anyone who was in the area around the time who may have witnessed anything suspicious or who has any information to come forward by contacting our dispatch center at (707)527-1000.
