CSX Transportation will be conducting work on their tracks throughout Ashland during the overnight hours Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10. Work will begin at 5:00 p.m. and should conclude by 5:00 a.m. each day.

This work will not include roadway crossings and traffic should not be affected except briefly while equipment on the tracks is moved across intersections.

During the work period, the pedestrian crossing platforms across the railroad tracks will be removed. Pedestrians wishing to cross the tracks must proceed to and cross at open roadway crossings.

Parking will be prohibited along Railroad Avenue and Center Street parallel to the tracks due to the possibility of debris from the work zone striking parked vehicles. No parking signs will be in place effective 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9 through 5:00 a.m., Friday, May 11

Residents may also experience some noise related to the work during the overnight hours.
