...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING... The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of central West Virginia, northeast West Virginia, northern West Virginia, southeast West Virginia, and southern West Virginia, including the following areas, in central West Virginia, Braxton and Clay. In northeast West Virginia, Northwest Pocahontas, Northwest Randolph, Northwest Webster, Southeast Pocahontas, Southeast Randolph, and Southeast Webster. In northern West Virginia, Barbour and Upshur. In southeast West Virginia, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, and Southeast Nicholas. In southern West Virginia, Boone and Kanawha.

* Through this evening

* After a dry overnight, area streams have had time to recede. However, the ground is still saturated, and any heavier shower or thunderstorm that pops up this afternoon or evening could cause renewed rises, and flooding.

* Small streams and creeks, poor drainage areas and low spots on roadways could flood.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST FAYETTE ... NORTHWEST NICHOLAS ... NORTHWEST POCAHONTAS ... NORTHWEST RANDOLPH ... NORTHWEST WEBSTER ... SOUTHEAST NICHOLAS ... SOUTHEAST POCAHONTAS ... SOUTHEAST RANDOLPH ... SOUTHEAST WEBSTER
