Suspect: Black Male adult, large build, wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt
Incident Summary:
On May 3, 2018 at 11:23 am Petaluma Police Department received a call from the West America Bank located at 200 Washington St. that they just had a robbery occur within the bank.
A black male adult with a large build wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt entered the bank, walked to one of the windows and demanded money from the bank employee. No weapon was mentioned or displayed when the demand for money was made to the bank employee. After he was handed an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect left the bank in an unknown direction of travel.
Petaluma Police Officers were on scene within minutes of the call however were unable to locate the suspect, Police were able to get photos of the suspect from bank cameras. A photo of the suspect is attached to the press release.
