North Brunswick Police Blotter info on Car burglary incidents over the weekend.
Over the weekend, there were more car burglars out... and arrested.
On Saturday at about 4:35pm, Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person, a male subject seen possibly pulling on vehicle door handles. Officers responded and discovered that vehicles had been entered on Glenn & Grissom Avenues. A Patrol Officer located a male matching the description provided by the caller leaving the area on foot. After investigating further and finding evidence linking him, Mr. Freddy Manuel Hernandez (pictured), 31, of New Brunswick was taken into custody. He was charged with burglary, theft, hindering apprehension; he also had outstanding warrants for previous burglaries.
On Sunday at approximately 9:22pm, Officers were detailed to a vehicular burglary that had already taken place on Wood Avenue. While on scene, they were advised of another similar burglary nearby. After their investigation, a male subject was located nearly and found to be in possession of stolen proceeds from one of the burglarized vehicles. That male subject, Jerome Griffin, 50, of New Brunswick, was taken into custody and charged with Receiving Stolen property. We anticipate additional arrests to follow in short order.
