Sunday, April 22, 2018
Hit and Run - Felony
Location: Royal Drive and Scott Boulevard

A female driver struck a parked vehicle and fled the scene with two small children. Witnesses provided responding officers with details about the incident; however a search of the area did not yield the suspect. Officers attempted to contact the registered owner without receiving a response. This case is on-going.

Monday, April 23, 2018
Commercial Burglary
Location: 2700 Block of Lafayette Street

Between 4/20/18 at approximately 1730 hours and 4/23/18 at approximately 0500 hours, an unknown suspect broke the fence and gained entry to a storage yard on the 2700 block of Lafayette Street. It appeared the suspect attempted to steal a battery charger, but it was left behind prior to the suspect fleeing the scene. This case has been forwarded to the Investigations Division for follow-up.

Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Brandishing
Location: 800 Block of Civic Center Drive

Officers responded to a report of a brandishing of scissors.
The victim was out walking a dog when a female transient yelled at the victim to stay off of her property. The victim was on the sidewalk. The suspect threw a drink on her and pulled out a pair of scissors and brandished them at the victim. The victim safely fled the area and contacted Public Safety Dispatchers.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives have been forwarded this case information for follow-up.

Wednesday, April 25, 2018
Traffic Accident
Location: 3000 Block of El Camino Real

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of El Camino Real on the report of a traffic accident.
Upon arrival, an officer learned the suspect vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car in such a way that caused her car to rollover. The female driver was uninjured. Eastbound El Camino Real was closed for approximately 90 minutes while the tow company flipped the vehicle back onto its wheels and cleared the scene.

Thursday, April 26, 2018
Theft
Location: 2100 Block of El Camino Real

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call from a reporting party on the 2100 block of El Camino Real regarding a theft in progress. The employees observed two female subjects conceal approximately $800 in cosmetics and confronted the suspects. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
An employee was able to take a photo of the suspect vehicle and provide video surveillance to the responding officer. The efforts to locate the vehicle and its owner were unsuccessful. This investigation is on-going.

Friday, April 27, 2018
Car Clouts
Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard

Four window-smash vehicle burglaries occurred between 2200 hours and 0200 hours on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard. Thousands of dollars’ worth of property including laptops, cell phones, backpacks and electronics were stolen. Officers were unable to uncover any suspect information.

Saturday, April 28, 2018
Hit and Run
Location: Coleman Avenue and De La Cruz Boulevard

An officer was driving back to the City of Santa Clara after booking an arrestee into the Santa Clara County Jail when the officer encountered a vehicle driving in the wrong direction toward the patrol vehicle on the De La Cruz Boulevard overpass. The officer swerved to avoid a head-on collision. Consequently, the officer collided with the curb and heavily damaged patrol vehicle.
The suspect vehicle continued driving the wrong way towards the City of San Jose. Unfortunately, the officer was unable to safely pursue the vehicle because of the damage to the patrol vehicle. The officer was uninjured.
The San Jose Police Department and California Highway Patrol were immediately notified since the suspect vehicle was last seen heading towards their jurisdictions.
