The Sun Prairie Police Department was investigating the theft of a .22 Caliber Pistol from a residence in the 400 Block of South Bird Street. On Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at around 8:00 PM Sun Prairie Police received a tip that the suspect in the theft was in the area of West Main Street and North Bird Street. Sun Prairie Police established a perimeter and subsequently took the suspect into custody near the intersection of West Main Street and Walker Way after a short foot
pursuit. During the foot pursuit the suspect threw a bag onto an apartment roof that contained the stolen firearm and a Glock Handgun with a high capacity magazine. Both firearms were
recovered by Sun Prairie Police.

The suspect has been identified as Brendon Linus-Brown of Homewood, IL. Linus-Brown was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant from Dane County, a felony warrant from Cook County, IL,
resisting arrest, possession of a firearm by a felon, and theft. Brendon Linus-Brown was jailed on the above charges at the Dane County Jail.

The Sun Prairie Police Department was assisted in the apprehension of this subject by Deputies from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and a K9 Unit from the City of Madison Police
Department. The Sun Prairie Police Department would also like to thank the numerous citizens that contacted the department with sightings of the subject.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial
Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed
innocent until proven guilty.
