Traffic Advisory: Expect delays on Route one near Route 18 for the next few hours. Although the incident is not in our jurisdiction, we want to pass the information to all of you.
Route 18 Southbound now closed at Route 1 and Route 18. Route 18 Northbound is closed at Tices Lane in East Brunswick
All traffic is being diverted onto Route 1
Route 1 north ramp onto route 18 south closed.
Route 1 south ramp onto Route 18 south closed.
This is all due to an overturned tanker at the entrance to the NJ Turnpike from Route 18. The involved tanker contains a Hazardous Material. Various Emergency services are on scene and mitigating the incident. Passing this along to help you plan your travels. Drive safe!
