Yesterday evening, at approximately 5:17pm, units were dispatched to an address on Oak Road for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, units located an individual down in front of that address. The semi-conscious male victim had been stabbed multiple times and was bleeding heaving. The victim had no relation to the home, but appeared to have collapsed at the point after exiting the nearby apartment complex. The victim was immediately treated by North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, Inc., being transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Patrol Officer and Detectives immediately began the investigation, finding that the victim had been attacked within the North Woods Apartment complex. A short time into the investigation, Patrol units stopped a possible suspect as he attempted to leave the area. That suspect has since been connected to the incident and has been charged for these crimes accordingly. Arrested was Mr. Jakil Bryant, 24, of North Brunswick (pictured). He has been remanded to the Middlesex County Department of Corrections facing numerous charges. We will not be releasing the victims information. The victim is recovering from his wounds at RWJUH.
