Canyon Country Public Safety & Crime Prevention Report for the Week of April 15-22, 2018

The following crimes were reported in Canyon Country during the week of April 15, 2018- April 22, 2018:

04/15/18 

Grand Theft Auto- 21100 block of Centre Pointe Parkway 
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s van which was parked near the above location. 

4/16/18 

Commercial Burglary- Oak Crest Drive/ Big Cedar Drive  
Person(s) unknown cut the lock to a storage bin and stole copper wire from inside. 

Burglary- 27400 block of Sophia Lane 
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s open detached garage and stole tools from inside. 

04/17/18 

Grand Theft Auto- 18600 block of Vicci Street 
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked near the above location. 

Petty Theft- 17900 block of Hatridge Lane 
The victim observed the suspect on video surveillance taking a package from her front porch. 

04/18/18 

Shoplifting- 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive 
The suspect entered a business near the above location, selected store items, and left the location without making no attempt to pay for the items. 

04/19/18 

Vehicle Burglary- 16700 block of Placerita Canyon Road 
Person(s) unknown smashed the rear window to the victim’s vehicle and stole clothing from inside. 

IF YOU WITNESS A CRIME 

If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders: 

When reporting a crime by telephone, remain on the phone until the dispatcher is fully briefed with all the information necessary to dispatch the appropriate response personnel to the scene. 

1. Age, race, height, and weight; 

2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache; 

3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses mental state, etc.) 

4. Clothing description; 

5. Location where last seen; 

6. Last known direction of travel; 

7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings. 

Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.
