On Monday, April 30, 2018, the Burlington County Highway Department and their contractor, American Asphalt, will begin repaving operations on Trenton Road in Browns Mills. This is a County Roadway. Operations will run from 8 am till 3:30 pm for approximately three weeks. Neither County Highway nor American Asphalt have provided the Township or the police department with a Traffic Plan so we are not quite sure where on Trenton Road the paving actually will begin. We do know that the paving will run from Trenton Road at Clubhouse Road to the entrance of Ft Dix near Pemberton Boulevard. There will be “single lane” alternating north/south traffic control in the areas of Trenton Road that are actually being paved. We will notify our residents about specific plans for this repaving as soon as the County and American Asphalt provides us with the information.
As you are all aware, Trenton Road is a major roadway in Browns Mills that provides access to three schools, Deborah Heart and Lung, Lourdes Emergency Room, Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst and several residential areas. Delays are to be expected especially during the morning and late afternoon rush hours. Residents are encouraged to seek alternate routes or to adjust their drive times to compensate for the expected delays. Please follow the instructions provided by the posted signage or instructions provided by law enforcement or by the on-scene flagmen.
