The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

April 24th

0914 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated a single vehicle non-injury traffic collision on the 6700 block of Redeker Place.

1311 Hours: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a case of credit card fraud. The investigation is ongoing.

1344 Hours: Officer Rivas investigated a vehicle burglary at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, 5699 Mowry Avenue. The loss is a laptop computer.

1525 Hours: Officer Musantry contacted and arrested a 29-year-old Newark male for his outstanding felony warrant, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia on Belhaven Avenue at Peugeot Place. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1639 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated a felony hit-and-run that occurred in the parking lot of Jack’s Restaurant & Bar, 1029 Newpark Mall. The victim sustained a minor injury to their leg.

2323 Hours: Officer Norvell contacted and arrested a 32-year-old Newark male for public intoxication on the 5600 block of Mowry Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
