Full Notification

On April 24^th, 2018, at approximately 7:47 PM, PSPD dispatch received multiple reports of a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the 400 block of South Sunrise Road. Officers arrived to the scene and determined that the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk as she crossed the street with her dog. The pedestrian sustained a moderate injury and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. The dog unfortunately succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation and at this time alcohol and/or drugs does not appear to be a factor.
