INCIDENT: Identity Theft, False impersonation, and False I.D. to an Officer

LOCATION: 24000 Block of University Ave. in the City of Loma Linda

SUSPECT: Krystal Vanessa Gonzalez, age 28 a transient

VICTIM(S): Multiple Confidential Victims


SUMMARY:
Deputies from the Central Station responded to a Motel in Loma Linda regarding a report of possible identity theft. The suspect, Krystal Gonzalez, locked herself out of her motel room and requested security open the room. When Krystal's room was opened, security saw several California Identification cards, Social security cards, bank cards, mail, check books, and documents in other people's names in plain view. Deputies were called to investigate and located 19 identification cards, 6 social security cards, 30 bank cards, 2 check books, and 66 gift cards. After contacting several victims, the evidence recovered was connected to several crimes in cities ranging from Pomona, San Bernardino, Highland, Ontario, Colton, Beaumont, and Lake Elsinore. Gonzalez was booked at West Valley Detention Center for multiple charges of identity theft. During the booking process, Gonzalez was discovered to have been lying about her identity to Deputies. Gonzalez has a history of being arrested for identity theft and uses 8 different identities. Gonzalez is on probation and being held without bail.

The investigation is on going and Deputies are actively trying to locate additional victims. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Deputy R.
