Armed Subject Complaint 
On Friday, April 20th, 2018 officers were dispatched to an armed subject complaint in the area of South Locust Street and McKinley Street. A neighbor reported seeing a male remove a firearm from his waistband and discharge the firearm into the air. Upon arrival, officers identified a male matching the description retreat into the lower apartment located at 157 South Locust Street.
As a result of the initial investigation, officers located a .45 caliber shell casing in front of the residence in the same area the neighbor saw the incident occur. Due to the nature of the incident, the Janesville Police Department S.W.A.T Team executed a search warrant at the apartment. The firearm was not located. There were no injuries. At this time the investigation is on-going.
