Larcenies from Motor Vehicles: The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is again experiencing an increase of Larcenies From Motor Vehicle in multiple areas within Washtenaw County.  In order to prevent these thefts and preserve your identity Please Lock Your Vehicles.  A majority of these thefts occur when vehicles are left unlocked.  Stowing away valuables out of sight and securing vehicle doors can decrease these thefts.

Computer Scams:  The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office has received increased calls for service involving computer scams.  Please do not give or send cash, credit card, gift card, or any other financial information to those you do not know via phone or the internet without verifying the veracity of the information and identity of who is accepting your payment. 

Locking your vehicles and providing no financial information to strangers will decrease these instances of theft and fraud.
