#009 Suspicious Circumstances
At 9:25 a.m., a reporting party called 911 to report a female screaming for help in a thick grass/brush area near Shinn St./Von Euw Co.  He heard the female scream “get off me” and felt that it may be a sexual assault in-progress.  When the RP yelled, the female suddenly became silent.  The RP never saw anyone in the area, only hear the voices and stayed in the area until officers arrived.  Officers began an extensive search using both the UAV (drone) and a CHP airplane.  Ultimately, we were unable to locate any of the involved parties. 

#015 Suspicious Circumstances
At 11:33 a.m., a reporting party called from Northgate Park to report a fight involving eight subjects that were possibly gang members.  Shortly after the original call, a RP reported that shots were fired and a female was shooting at a male.  The witness told dispatchers that the gun appeared to be a bb gun.  Numerous units responded and detained the male, a 27 year old Fremont resident, who was in possession of drugs.  Despite the large scale search, including a UAV and K9, the female suspect and gun were never located.  Officers did locate a CO2 cartridge near the batting cages.  In the end, the male went to jail for a parole violation and the shooting could not be corroborated. 

#020 Robbery (Estes)
At 1:50 p.m. loss prevention at Kohl’s, (43700 block of Christy St) tried to detain a theft suspect and was battered.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, wearing a blue Sharks sweatshirt.  He escaped in a black Dodge Durango being driven by a female. 

#020 Robbery (Estes)
Officers were sent to the Nordstrom Rack to investigate a theft report.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult wearing a San Jose Sharks jersey and light blue pants.  He was driven out of the area in a black Dodge Durango with a female driver.
 
#001 DUI Crash
Officers are dispatched to an injury collision at Mowry/Farwell Ave involving two vehicles. One of the involved parties a 21 year old San Juan Batista resident, was arrested for DUI and booked into the Fremont Jail.

#012 Grand Theft
At 11:08 a.m., a victim reported that a male stole his $6,000 specialized Roubaix Pro SL3 bicycle in the area of Brophy Dr.  The victim had just returned from a ride, when he temporarily left the bike out near his garage. The suspect ditched a less-valued bicycle that he was riding and was able to escape on the victim’s bike.  Numerous units searched the area without success.  Investigated by Officer Balcorta.

#014 Auto Burglary
A victim at Chick-Fil-A on Mowry Ave reported an auto burglary that had just occurred.  The suspect vehicle was a silver Nissan Sentra.  Hayward PD later reported that a similar vehicle committed an auto burglary in their jurisdiction just prior to ours.  Officer Burns investigated.

#022 Porch Pirate – Petty Theft
Officer M. Floresca investigated a case of porch piracy.  A resident in the 5000 block of Tan Oak Drive noticed his Amazon package was missing.  A review of his video surveillance footage showed the crook in action at 2:58 p.m.  The lone male suspect stole the package from the front porch and fled in a silver Nissan 300zx.  The suspect was an unknown race male, wearing a black hat, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.

#035 Possession for Sales
Officers responded to the 600 block of Orangewood Drive for a possible traffic accident/hit-n-run.  This all started when a tow truck driver attempted to repossess a vehicle.  The owner got into the vehicle and fled, causing damage to the tow truck.  The investigation led to a nearby address where a probation search was conducted.  Officer M. Catassi located a large quantity of suspected cocaine and MDMA.  Arrested was 46 year old male, Fremont resident for possession for sales of a controlled substance.

#039 Felony Warrant Arrest
Officer Carter conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the 34000 block of Fremont Blvd. The driver of the vehicle had outstanding no bail felony warrants out of San Mateo county. The 68 year old adult male, Fremont resident was arrested for his warrants and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
#001 DUI Collision
At 12:06 a.m., officers were on another call near Mowry Ave/ Blacow Rd when they heard a vehicle collision nearby. Officers respond to the crash and contact the driver, a 53 year old adult male and quickly determine that he is under the influence of alcohol. After a field sobriety test is performed, the male was arrested for DUI.   The female passenger in the vehicle was also extremely intoxicated and was arrested for being public intoxication. Both were booked into Santa Rita Jail.
