***UPDATE*** SUSPECT CHARGED WITH MURDER OF ELDERLY MAN
VICTIM: Raymond Maciel, 76 year old, Pomona Resident
Suspect Ricky Maciel was arrested Tuesday April 17, 2018 for the murder of victim Raymond Maciel. Today, Murder charges were filed with the LA County District Attorney’s office and the bail was set at 1 million dollars. Suspect Ricky Maciel is potentially facing life in prison if convicted.

CRIME: 187 PC- Homicide
VICTIM: Pending Next of Kin Notification
SUSPECT: Ricky Maciel, 29 years old, Pomona Resident
NARRATIVE:
On 4/17/18 at approximately 6:58 PM, the Pomona Police Department received a CPR call in the 1100 Block of S. Hamilton in the City of Pomona. Officers arrived on scene and found a male victim unconscious. LA County Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital in extremely critical condition. The hospital medical staff was unable to save the victim from his injury at which time he was pronounced deceased. The early investigation reveals that there was some kind of altercation between family members where the victim fell and hit his head. Pomona Police Department Homicide team was called in to investigate. Homicide Detectives are actively following –up on all leads at this time.
