2 SCAM ALERTS IN THE AREA
The Franklin Police Department has learned of fraudulent calls with people stating they are collecting money for fallen Yarmouth (MA) Police Officer Sean Gannon. This is a scam!
Also, a resident received a suspicious call from a subject claiming to be from Eversource Energy. The subject claims to have programs to save on energy bills. When asked simple questions about the program, they were not answered. The caller wanted specific information off the resident's bill, information that Eversource Energy would already have.
Please be wary of these scams and any suspicious calls received. Please share this far and wide, so your neighbors don't become victims as well.
