Flood Warning until 02:14PM Thursday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South Dakota...Iowa... Big Sioux River Near Brookings Big Sioux River Near Dell Rapids Big Sioux River At Sioux Falls I-90 Big Sioux River above Hawarden Little Sioux River Near Milford Little Sioux River At Spencer Little Sioux River At Linn Grove .The following river forecasts include forecast precipitation through tonight. Any additional future rains could affect the crest forecasts. The snow pack from the recent storms will begin melting later this week as temperatures finally begin to warm up, and runoff from this snow melt will cause significant rises on the area rivers and streams. With a fairly slow melt through the early to middle parts of next week, flooding is still expected to remain minor for most areas. The Flood Warning continues for The Big Sioux River above Hawarden.

* At 09AM Wednesday the stage was 18.9 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 20.5 feet.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Sunday and crest near 23.2 feet by Tuesday.

* At stages near 23.0 feet...South Dakota Highway 46 begins to flood. &&

* AFFECTED AREAS: PLYMOUTH ... SIOUX
