Several Ventura County Explorer Posts competed in the North County Explorer Competition and received awards in multiple events. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Explorer program is designed to provide young adults (ages of 14 to 20) with an exciting program designed to build citizenship and develop personal and mental fitness. The program’s goal is to educate and involve the youth in police operations and interest them in law enforcement functions whether they aspire to enter police work or not.
