DETAILS:  Ptl. S. Van Ness was detailed to a residence on Village Rd. West for the Theft of a motor vehicle where the following was reported: The Victim parked her 2017 Toyota Rav-4 overnight in her driveway. She left the key Fob for the push button start equipped vehicle in the cup-holder. When she went out to her vehicle in the morning, it had been stolen.

McQuade was detailed to a residence in the Sunrise Development for the Burglary and Theft to a motor vehicle where the following was reported: While the Victim’s vehicle was parked overnight in the driveway, unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole an iPad and car charger from inside.

Arrested:  Gustavo A. Garcia-Cajchun, Hispanic male, 29 years old

DETAILS:  Ptl. LaRocca investigated a vehicle crash involving a black 2014 Volkswagen (VW) which went through a red light on U.S. Route 1 and struck a vehicle crossing Washington Rd. During the investigation, the driver of the VW, Gustavo A. Garcia-Cajchun, was determined to be DWI. A passenger in Garcia-Cajchun’s vehicle reported head/neck pain and was transported by West Windsor EMS to the Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center.  Subsequently, Garcia-Cajchun was also charged with Assault by Auto. He was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. McQuade investigated a three car crash on Old Trenton Rd. The driver of a 2003 Ford Explorer, Micah L. Steele, had struck the rear of the vehicle in front of him, and pushed that vehicle into the rear of another vehicle. During the investigation, Steele was determined to be DWI. During processing at WWPD Headquarters, Steele was additionally charged with Refusal to Submit Breath Test.  After processing, Steele was released pending future dates at the West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Zicha initiated a motor vehicle stop on a blue 2010 Kia coupe for tailgating the vehicle in front of it and for failing to properly signal when changing lanes. During the stop, Amanda Becan was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana inside a sealable plastic bag and a wooden smoke kit containing marijuana residue. Becan was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at the West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Silcox was detailed to a commercial burglary at the Crown of India Café located in the Village Square. Employees arrived at the restaurant to discover that it had been burglarized. The front door had been forced open and Cash and an iPad were stolen from inside. The restaurant owner advised that his Crown of India restaurant in Plainsboro Township had also been burglarized overnight. Det. Sgt. Skwierawski responded to process the crime scene and investigate further.
  
On March 23, 2018, after a thorough investigation and in cooperation with Plainsboro Police Detective S. Beatty, Det. Sgt. Skwierawski charged Macvin Almeida and his two associates, Prasad Naik, & Stephen Toora  in the incident.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Zicha observed a black 2017 Nissan sedan that was stopped in the middle of Carnegie Center Blvd. for no apparent reason. Ptl. Zicha stopped to investigate and developed suspicion that the driver and sole occupant of the Nissan, Morris Bueale, was in possession of marijuana. While Bueale was outside of his vehicle, he grabbed his jacket pocket and stepped away from Ptl. Zicha and Ptl. McQuade. He then removed a small container from his pocket, opened it, and attempted to dump the marijuana contained inside of it onto the ground. Bueale resisted officer’s attempts to stop him from doing so and arrest him. Bueale was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at the Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Collins was detailed to a motor vehicle crash on Village Rd. E and South Lane. One of the involved vehicles, a blue 2010 Chevrolet sedan fled the scene immediately after the crash, but was located in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts located at U.S. Route 130 and Hankins Rd.  The driver of the blue Chevrolet, Reginaldo Cifuentes-Monterroso, was identified and determined to be DWI. Cifuentes-Monterroso was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Caulfield initiated a motor vehicle stop on a black 2005 Jeep SUV for a cracked windshield and for having a dark-tinted license plate cover which made it difficult to see the rear license plate. During the stop, Steven Holt was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Holt was given an opportunity to have a valid driver come drive the vehicle away, but he was unable to find someone who could come in a reasonable time frame. When the vehicle needed to be towed, Holt refused to get out of the driver’s seat. He then resisted officer’s attempts to remove him from the Jeep, and resisted arrested. Holt was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at the West Windsor Municipal Court.
