Southeastern Platte County in west central Missouri... Northwestern Jackson County in west central Missouri...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 721 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lake Quivira, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Kansas City, Overland Park, Shawnee, Lenexa, Liberty, Gladstone, Prairie Village, Merriam, Mission, Smithville, Kearney, Parkville, Edwardsville, North Kansas City, Fairway, Mission Hills, Riverside, Westwood, Claycomo and Lake Quivira.
