Fraud Alert- Online solicitation through social media falsely representing themselves as members of the WFPD. Please do not participate. 
The Village of Wappingers Police Department was recently made aware of fraudulent solicitation for money being committed on Facebook where unknown person(s) are identifying themselves as members of the Village Polive Department. We would like to make the public aware that if you receive a request for money from any social media application stating it is from a member of the Village of Wappingers Police Department it is fraudulent. We also ask that you report it to our agency or the NYS Police.
