Join Mayor Bhalla on Friday, April 20th at 6pm in Maxwell Place Park for a rally to protect Hoboken’s Waterfront

MAYOR BHALLA HOSTS RALLY TO PROTECT HOBOKEN WATERFRONT Mayor Ravinder S. Bhalla will host a rally along with Hoboken residents to protect Hoboken's waterfront on Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m. at Maxwell Place Waterfront Park. The rally is a response to New York Waterway's attempt to use the Union Dry Dock property as a heavy industrial ferry maintenance site. A recent poll showed nearly 92 percent of residents want that property to become a park. Under NY Waterway's control, the property would not serve as an additional ferry stop for residents and commuters. "This is a chance for Hoboken residents to have their voices heard," said Bhalla. "We hope that Governor Murphy will listen to his voters and see that Hoboken is the wrong place for this facility." Hoboken has worked for decades to transform its waterfront into one of the jewels of New Jersey. A park on this property will finally secure a contiguous waterfront for the entire region to take advantage of.
