Good Thursday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 4/10/18, and Wednesday, 4/11/18.

4/10/18

-100 blk Lacey Ln, Opdyke West: Juvenile Issue. A deputy responded to a complaint regarding a juvenile in the residence. No offenses were reported, and remedies were advised to the parents.

-1100 blk 11th St, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies were dispatched to assist Levelland officers look for a reported suspicious person in the area. The area was checked and the individual was not located.

-FM 301 at Samson Post Rd, Sundown: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a suspicious vehicle stopped in the area. The area was checked and no vehicle was located.

4/11/18

-300 blk West Houston, Levelland: Check Welfare. A deputy was notified to check the welfare of an individual possibly at a residence in the area. The residence was checked and the individual was not there. Alternate addresses were provided and forwarded to Levelland PD. Deputies assisted in searching for the individual.

-100 blk Arnett, Ropesville: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a reported vehicle crash in the area. DPS troopers arrived on scene and conducted the crash investigation. Deputies assisted as needed. Two individuals were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

-Hwy 385 at Terry County line: Assist Terry County SO. A deputy was dispatched to meet with a Terry County deputy to assist with a transport of an individual to Levelland. The individual was transported to his residence by the deputy.

-Hwy 114 at FM 3261, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A deputy was notified of a reckless driver traveling toward Levelland. Levelland PD located the vehicle and conducted a traffic contact.

Deputies conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 4/12/18 at 0800 hours: 58 in Hockley County, 5 to be processed, 17 out of county.
