Single vehicle accident nets arrest of Mackey woman on a DUI charge. 
On April 12, 2018, at approximately 12:45 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on State Road 57 near State Road 64. Upon arriving Oakland City Officer Amanda Hagen located the vehicle and the driver 55 year old Robin Ball of Mackey, Indiana. While speaking with Ms. Ball Deputy Kiesel detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver and began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Kiesel placed Ms. Ball in custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Ms. Ball was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She remains in custody on a $450 bond.
