On April 10th, 2018 at 1:22 a.m. Sgt. John Fischer was patrolling US 41 when he observed a 2009 Mercury Sable with an expired Indiana Temporary Plate. Sgt. Fischer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at US 41 and State Road 68. Upon approaching the vehicle he identified the driver as 25 year old Johnathan A. Scott, of Evansville. Mr. Scott provided an Indiana Identification Card to Sgt. Fischer and stated his license was suspended. Sgt. Fischer ran Mr. Scott through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and confirmed his license status was suspended with a prior conviction. At that point Mr. Scott was placed into custody and transported Mr. Scott to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. He remains in custody without bond on an outstanding warrant issued through Vanderburgh County.
