Deputies arrest a man for possession of a controlled substance for sales

LOCATION: Catawba Avenue and Ceres Avenue, Fontana
SUSPECT: Raymond Gutierrez, 27 year-old, resident of Fontana
SUMMARY:
On April 9, 2018, at 10:47 p.m., Deputy Bean conducted a traffic stop of a Honda Civic for a traffic violation in the unicorporated county area of Fontana. Bean contacted the subjects in the vehicle and then conducted a search of the Honda. The passenger, Raymond Gutierrez was found in possession of a backpack that contained 14 grams of methamphetamine, a functioning digital scale, and other items consistent with sales of narcotics.
Gutierrez was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for HS 11378 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales.
