High Wind Warning until 11:00PM Thursday 
...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 PM PDT THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT Thursday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.
* TIMING...Winds increasing this afternoon and becoming very strong and gusty by early evening. Winds continuing into Thursday evening.
* WINDS...West to northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 70 mph. Strongest winds are expected Thursday morning, especially through and below the passes.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous travel due to crosswinds which will affect high profile vehicles and campers. Unsecured objects may become airborne. Trees and tree branches may fall causing power outages. Highways affected include 58, 14, 395 and 178, as well as Interstate 5.
* AFFECTED AREAS: INDIAN WELLS VALLEY ... KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHEASTERN KERN COUNTY DESERT
