The Cornwall Borough Police Department is investigating an incident last night involving a traffic accident where two occupants of the vehicle involved sustained gunshot wounds and subsequently died.
The incident occurred along SR 72, north of Spring Hill Lane where the ramp from SR 322 westbound for SR 72 southbound intersects.
In addition to the two deceased individuals, there was a third subject in the vehicle who fled on foot going north from the scene. He is described as a Hispanic male wearing dark clothing. We have determined that this subject did interact with several motorists as he was fleeing the scene but we would like to speak with anyone who was traveling along SR 72/SR 322 after the 10:10 PM incident and observed or had contact with this subject. Witnesses reported that the subject did not have any apparent injuries from the crash.
