Sunnyvale, CA. - On December 7, 2017 a body was found floating in the water of a drainage canal along the Bay Trail. The victim was later identified as Chuchu Ma.

Based on the Department’s investigation and the autopsy from the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner, it has been determined Chuchu Ma died of drowning. There is no evidence to indicate foul play and because intent cannot be unequivocally determined, the Medical Examiner has ruled the manner of death to be undetermined.
