Police Arrest Man for Having Stolen Property And Heroin

HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – April 03, 2018 – On March 31, 2018, Hollister Police Officers arrested a man on multiple theft, drug and possession of stolen property charges.

On the night of March 30, 2018, a Hollister Police Officer received a theft report. During the course of his investigation, the officer obtained video footage of the suspect. The information was disseminated around the police department.

Officer Yamamoto was able to positively identify the suspect as being, Carlos Sanchez (35). The officer responded to Sanchez’ residence and found him in a nearby vehicle. Sanchez was ingesting heroin and was wearing the same clothing as in the video. Carlos Sanchez also had a stolen IPad, and two stolen laptop computers. All items turned out to have been taken during recent burglaries and a theft that occurred in the city of Hollister.

Sanchez was booked on the charges of possession of stolen property, petty theft, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

The Hollister Police Department would like to thank the victim in this case who provided the video footage. Our partnership with the community is an essential element regarding crime prevention and the capture of suspects.
