THREAT TIME: WEDNESDAY 2:00 PM - THURSDAY 3:00 AM
MAIN LARGE-SCALE WIND THREAT FROM 3 PM TO MIDNIGHT
The main concern is still the longer duration wind event excepted thereafter. Regardless of any gusty winds during the frontal passage, these are more widespread and persistent mid- afternoon thru this evening.
During this period, winds can gust up to 40-60 mph. As a result, broken tree limbs and downed wires can occur. Plus, the ground is soft, so we can see a few trees come down. While the worst of the wind is before midnight, occasional gusts to 50 mph can still occur prior to 3 AM.
While not as severe, winds are still breezy (gusts 30-35 mph) into Thursday.
