...DENSE FOG ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* VISIBILITIES...One quarter mile or less at times.

* WINDS...Southwest to west-northwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* TIMING...Dense fog has developed and will continue through the overnight hours before gradually improving after sunrise. Southwest winds will increase Wednesday morning, then quickly shift to the west-northwest as a strong cold front crosses the area late in the morning into the early afternoon. A line of showers with embedded thunderstorms will move through with the front, and this could bring localized wind gusts to 50 mph or greater. Following the passage of the cold front, widespread west-northwest winds gusting 40 to 50 mph will occur through Wednesday afternoon before diminishing in the early evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Limited visibilities will make travel very difficult.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COASTAL OCEAN ... EASTERN MONMOUTH ... HUNTERDON ... MERCER ... MIDDLESEX ... NORTHWESTERN BURLINGTON ... OCEAN ... SOMERSET ... WESTERN MONMOUTH
